Jorja Alice Smith (born 11 June 1997) is an English singer-songwriter, born and raised in Walsall, West Midlands to a Jamaican father and an English mother. Her father who is a former musician encouraged her to take piano lessons at the age of 8 and at the age of 11, she began writing her own songs. At the age of 15, she was scouted by a manager who saw videos she uploaded on YouTube of her cover of songs.

Four: Blue Lights

Garnering over 10M views on its official music video on YouTube and over 218M streams on Spotify, “Blue Lights” by English singer and songwriter Jorja Smith was released as her debut single on the 26th of February, 2016. The song was written by Jorja Smith, Ben Joyce, Guy Bonnet, Roland Romanelli, Dizzee Rascal and Nicholas Detnon and produced by Joyce and Engine Earz. It was later included in her debut studio album “Lost & Found”. It was certified Platinum and Gold in the United Kingdom, Australia and France.

The song Be Honest which has garnered over 125M views on its official music video on YouTube and over 292.9M streams on Spotify was released on the 16th of August, 2019. Fun fact of this song is that it served as the 17th Track on Obama’s Summer 2020 Playlist. It was produced by Kyle Stemberger, Cadenza and IzyBeats.

Two: Feelings ft JHus

With over 1.4M views on its official music video on YouTube and over 8M streams on Spotify; “Feelings” by English Singer and Songwriter Jorja Smith featuring British Rapper JHus was released on the 29th of September, 2023 as the 5th track off her album “Falling or Flying”. It was produced by DAMEDAME+ and written by Jorja Smith, JHus, Edith Nelson and Barbara Boko.  

Bonus: Little Things

“Little Things” garnered over 5.3M views on its official music video on YouTube. It serves as the 3rd track off her album “Falling or Flying” which was released on the 11th of May, 2023 and it was produced by P2J and New Machine. “Little things” peaked at number 95 on UK Singles Download Chart Top 100 on the 19th of May, 2023.

One: Peng Black Girls Remix Ft Jorja Smith

Garnering over 27M views on its official music video on YouTube, “Peng Black Girls Remix” is a song Enny featuring Jorja Smith was released on the 1st of December, 2020 and it was produced by Srigala and Paya. The song also peaked number 76 on the UK Charts. This song gained large popularity on TikTok which was used as a challenge for black women.
