Japan, who was knocked out of the 2018 World Cup on Monday cleaned their dressing room and left a thank-you note for their host in the Russian language.

Japanese fans had earlier stayed back to clean up their session of the stadium, even after their late minute loss to Belgium and the football team left their own mark on the dressing room, reports Sun UK.

Japan, who have never won a knockout game, came so close to breaking the trend after going two goals ahead in the second half.

But their players were left distraught when Nacer Chadli scored the goal that tipped the odds in Belgium’s favour.

Despite this they made the effort the leave the changing room immaculate and left a message in Russian, “Spasibo”, that translates to thank you.
