Rachel Agatha Keen (born 24 October 1997) known professionally as RAYE, is a British singer and songwriter. RAYE was born in Tooting, London, to a Ghanian-Swiss mother and an English father, originally from Yorkshire. She moved to Croydon, where she studied at Woodcote High School before being accepted to attend the BRIT School for two years before dropping out after she felt “confined…despite learning an extensive amount. RAYE has worked with so many artists with the likes of Maleek Berry, Odunsi (the Engine), Hasley, Mr. Eazi, Stormzy and many notable artists.

4. By Your Side – Jonas Blue

In 2016, RAYE rose to prominence by featuring on the singles as the lead vocalist; “By Your Side” by Jonas Blue. It was released as a digital download in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2016. It garnered over 129M views on its official video on YouTube. “By Your Side” was written by Zee, Grace Barker, the Invisible Men and Blue, who also produced the song. The song peaked the number 33 on Australia ARIA charts, number 56 on Austria Top 40, number 3 on Poland Airplay Top 100, number 6 on UK dance charts. The song was also certified platinum or higher by the BPI.

3. Secrets

The song “Secrets” is a song by Kosovo-Albanian disc jockey Regard and English singer and songwriter RAYE from her debut mini-album, Euphoric Sad Songs (2020). The song was written by Regard, Raye, Johan Lenox, John Hill, Jordan Asher Cruz, Kennedi Lykken and Stephen Feigenbaum, and produced by Regard, Hill and Lenox. It was released as a single for digital download and streaming by Ministry of Sound on 24 April 2020. It garnered over 17M views on its official music video on YouTube. It received a nomination for the Song of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards. The song entered the top 10, among others, in Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, Poland, Scotland and the United Kingdom, and received multiple gold certifications in various countries as well as platinum in Australia, Poland and the UK making it Raye’s first chart appearance as a lead artist.

  4. Raye was revealed to be a co-writer on the track “Bigger” sung by American singer Beyonce which was featured on the soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift

2. Escapism feat. 070 Shake

 “Escapism” was released on 12 October 2022 as a single off her upcoming studio album “My 21st Century Blues” set to be released in 2023. The song reached the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart after going viral on TikTok. The song garnered over 1.4M views on its official music video on YouTube.

A song by RAYE, Joel Corry and David Guetta. The song garnered over 30M views on its official video on YouTube.  It was released as a single on 26 February 2021, through Perfect Havoc and Asylum Records UK. The song was written by Corry, Raye, Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort, Jin Jin, Lewis Thompson and Neave Applebaum. The song was certified platinum by the BPI on 23 July 2021. The song was received so many multiple gold certifications in various countries as well as platinum in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Canada, Poland and so many other countries.
