Harry Kane’s 50th-minute strike handed Mauricio Pochettino’s men victory over the Magpies which helped them secure a third spot in the log with 72 points from 37 encounters, four points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea.

And the Kenya international, who played a crucial role in the tie, has taken to the social media to applaud the feat.

The 26-year-old has made 17 league appearances for Spurs this season involving seven starts, scoring once despite having to deal with injury problems.
