Former Acting Managing Director of NDDC Joy Nunieh, who was recently sacked by the Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio, has accused the Minister of corruption, gross abuse of office by awarding self 30 contracts and requesting the sack of certain officials who stood in his way.
Speaking to journalists in a video recently, she said the Minister on the first day of resumption at the NDDC HQ, was awarded 30 contracts running into billions of naira. Speaking she said Akpabio threatened to sack her if she did not dance to his tune. Watch video
The NDDC has recently being involved in a corruption scandal prompting the oversight committee in the National Assembly to call for a forensic audit.
