#TRANSFER: Liverpool in Lazio contact for Immobile as Chelsea also keen

Liverpool have expressed tentative interest in Lazio star Ciro Immobile.

The Italy international, says Il Messaggero, has emerged as a target for the Reds and contact has been made with the Romans.

Chelsea have also registered their interest, but will only move if a deal for Juventus-owned striker Gonzalo Higuain falls through.

And Liverpool enjoy an advantage thanks to their strong relationship with Lazio.

In recent years, Liverpool have allowed both Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto to move to Lazio, where they have thrived.

Liverpool will have scouts at the San Paulo on Sunday to see Lazio‘s visit to Napoli to watch Immobile, who worked with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.
