Tijs Michiel Verwest OON born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Breda, North Brabant. He was voted “the Greatest DJ of All Time” by Mix magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by DJ Mag readers as the “best DJ of the last 20 years”. He is also regarded as the “Godfather of EDM” by many sources.
No. 4. Adagio for Strings: It was first released in January 2005 as the fourth single from the album Just Be. It was certified Platinum in the UK after selling 600,000 copies. It is the first single by tiesto to receive a certification.
No. 3. Red Lights: The song features uncredited vocals from Michel Zitron, who co-wrote the song with Tiësto, Wayne Hector, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub and Måns Wredenberg. It was certified Platinum in Australia (ARIA) and Gold in Canada. It also went on to get certified in many more countries.
No. 2. The Business: It was released on 25 September 2020 in the Netherlands. It peaked at no 4 in Australia and no 12 in the US upon its release. It was certified 3x Platinum in Australia and Canada. A remix by British DJ and producer 220 Kid was released on 11 December 2020, which premiered on Tiësto’s YouTube channel. There is also another version, titled “The Business Part II”, which is a collaboration with US hip-hop rapper/singer Ty Dolla Sign, released on 21 January 2021.
In September 2019, Tiësto married model Annika Backes in Amangiri, Utah, after proposing to her in 2018. In November 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Viola Margreet Verwest. He is a fan of Italian football club Inter Milan, and has collaborated with them on numerous occasions.

No. 1. All of Me (Tiesto’s Birthday Treatment Remix): Originally by John Legend; in 2015 Tiesto was nominated and won the award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 2015 Grammy awards. The original song was dedicated to Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen. “All of Me” first aired on American mainstream urban radio as the album’s third single on August 12, 2013.
