Today we’re spotlighting popular producer Samklef but there is a twist to it as we would be focusing on him as an artist.
Samuel Oguachuba born on the 5th of February 1985, popularly known as Samklef is a Nigerian music producer, singer and performing artist. Samklef is a native of Imo state but grew up in Lagos state where he completed his primary and secondary school education. He is signed to Noni Records and He is popular for producing several hit songs for Wizkid, Sunny Neji, Ruggedman, and many others.

Four – Suwe Ft Olamide ( Remix )
This video garnered 8k views on its official video on YouTube. It was Off the #4kp# the Gift of God, this video garnered 7.8k views on YouTube. The song was released in the year 2013 and featured Olamide on the remix of the track. The video also starred the late famous Baba Suwe.
Three – Nonilizing ft Wizkid
It garnered 10k views on its beat video on YouTube. It never had an official video till this day and it was released in 2011. The single was extracted from his super delivered hit studio extended play tagged “The Classics (Album)” which contains the total of 5 tracks and featured Superstar Wizkid.
Two – Skelebe ft Akon
Garnered 198k views on its official video on YouTube. Samklef shot the official music video of his single titled “Skelebe” featuring the Konvict Music boss-AKON. The duo shot the video at locations in Lagos Island and Lekki (Nigeria).
Controversies
- Samklef recently called out Banky W for denying him his Royalties for the hit song Pakurumo. Amid the controversy, Samklef said he was going to release a documentary touching on both Wizkid and Banky W. In the ensuing backlash, Samklef fired at Wizkid stans on social media, warning them against disrespecting him.
- In 2014, Samklef explained to popular blog; Linda Ikeji why he was not happy with Wizkid and he would stop working with him because Wizkid was talking down on his talent as a producer. According to Samklef, wizkid described his work as Amateur. It wasn’t certain if Samklef was lying because after the interview wizkid spoke up saying he has nothing but love for Samklef and even stated as a matter of fact that he left his house weeks ago.
- Samklef lays claim to Afrobeats. He made a rather audacious claim to the propriety of the Afrobeats genre. Saying In quote “I’M ONE OF THE REASONS WHY AFROBEATS IS INTERNATIONAL TODAY. I CREATED THE SOUND. RESPECT ME. I STILL DEY ALIVE”

This song garnered 2m views on it’s official video on YouTube. Award winning music producer, Samklef joined forces with Wizkid, D’Prince and Ice Prince to deliver this classic hit song – “Molowo Noni” (which means i have money). The official music video was directed by Clarence Peters. It was released in 2017 and produced by Samklef.
