Today on the show we take a look at Oxlade’s top four features since his emergence into the scene. We all know oxlade can be easily tagged “one of The new kings of Feature” as every rapper wants to have him on their hook/chorus.

 

Lets take a quick look at his biography before we move to the music; He was born in Surulere, Lagos State and lost his mum at an early age, so his grandmother brought him up in Mushin area of Lagos State. He was barely ten years old when he became a junior choir leader in his church….He dropped out of Lagos State University after two Years of being admitted to pursue his music career. Chocolate City rapper, Blaqbonez on hearing Oxlades single, sour, saw potential in him and decided to feature him in his next project.

 

His fame grew after his iconic collaboration with Blaqbonez, on ‘Mamiwota’.

 

Thereafter, he featured on Fireboy DML’s hit single, Sing. With that. We’d go straight to playing you our number four song today.

 

No. 4. Mamiwater – Blaqbonez ft Oxlade

Released in 2018, the song is arguably oxlade’s second biggest song that shot him to the limelight. The song has over 292k views on youtube and the video was directed by TG omori. Oxlade delivered sweet melodies on the hook and there’s no doubt that it couldn’t have been done better than that.

 

In more recent times Oxlade has been featured on songs that have become hits.

 

No. 3. Myself – Basketmouth ft Oxlade & Show Dem Camp

At the number three spot we have this massive hit by the comic Entertainer; basket mouth. Off the ”Yabasi” album for the papa benji soundtrack. The Ducktor Sett produced song talks about doing your Best, taking care of what you can handle as you leave the rest for others to handle. It  has over 218k views on youtube.

 

No. 2. Kolo – Ice Prince Ft Oxlade

With 1.3 Million views on youtube after just 3 months, this jam has become a viral sensation with upcoming artists doing different covers of the song. The smashing hit was produced by the talented Egar boi. It’s undeniable that The oxlade vocals on this song made it appealing to the ears of listeners round the world.

 

No. 1. Sing – Fireboy ft Oxlade

Released in 2018 after Fireboy got signed to YBNL. It has garnered over 710k views since its release on Youtube. The song came just after fireboy’s feature on oxlade’s Blaqbonez’s mamiwater.  The song is arguably one of the songs that led to him solidifying his spot in the industry.
