Sarri Unsatisfied With Chelsea Midfield, Set To Make New Addition

According to reports, Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, is not quite satisfied with his midfield set up at Stamford Bridge.

In light of this, he has identified the right footballer he believes can take his Chelsea midfield to the next level.

The Blues manager has made a brilliant start to life at Stamford Bridge and hasn’t lost a match in any competition since the defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 5.

However, despite his strong start, the one area of the team Sarri has always had concerns about is the midfield and how well his midfielders can implement his ‘Sarri-ball’ style of play.

The midfield is the heartbeat of Sarri’s style of possession football as it requires rare type of players who comfortable on the ball and can work their legs off without the ball.

The former Napoli boss wants his teams to dominate possession and press high up the pitch, so despite bringing in Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in the summer he wants more reinforcements across the middle of the park.

And he believes Lyon’s £30million midfielder Houssem Aouar will be the perfect fit for his system.

The 20-year-old has not missed a game for Lyon this season in all competitions and has firmly established himself in the starting XI.
