Spartak Moscow’s Dutch international attacking midfielder Quincy Promes, the Russian Premier League’s top scorer last season, has signed a five-year deal with Spanish high-flyers Sevilla, the club announced Friday.

The 26-year-old Promes was under contract with Spartak until June 2021.

“Taking into consideration Promes’ desire to test his skills in one of the world’s strongest leagues and his huge contribution into the red-white club’s success, Spartak management accepted the offer of Sevilla,” a Spartak statement said.

Reports said the Moscow side will receive around 20 million euros ($23.2 million) for the transfer of the Dutchman.

Promes, who won the Russian title with Spartak in 2017, scored 66 goals in 135 matches with the club.

He notched 15 goals to finish last season the Premier League’s top scorer. He was also named Russia’s “Player of the Year” in 2017.

Promes has won 28 caps and score five goals with the Dutch national side so far.
