Now, understand that being admitted into the university especially public universities is not a measure of how brilliant you are, but most times, it all boils down to how well you play your cards right. Know this, after a thorough research I can categorically tell you that most students fail to gain admission into federal and state universities because they lack the right information. Informations like, Subject to combine in their O’level because have actually seen cases where the jamb brochure misleads students on the subjects to combine, in that case they move ahead and combine the wrong subjects. Now, here is my advice: when seeking admission, don’t panick or see it as a do or die affair rather, approach the entire process camly and objectively. Don’t rush into reading anything and everything, ‘hello that is not how it works’, else you will read heaven and hell combine and still stay home come next year.
Always keep in mind, gaining admission is not the final destination, as there is a possibility of loosing it during your clearance. So take note to carefully fill your forms and everything else. Make sure you use the same name on all your certificates to avoid discrepancies.
Now, there is what I call post admission trauma. This is a student’s inability to cope with first semester classes and school in general. As such you get frustrated and tired of school most of the time, always feeling behind and out of place. This comes when you fail to grab an idea of what life in school looks like. It’s not always the regular routine of reading, eating and going to classes, it’s way more than that.
So, take this advice for free as you prepare to gain admission or help someone out there get into higher institution and move ahead.
