Presidential spokesperson Lauretta Onochie, has been busted for using fake photos from Atiku’s campaign in Sokoto State yesterday for a Twitter post.

Lauretta Onochie who shared a post on Twitter, wrote;

KEEP THEM IN POVERTY, THEN GIVE THEM HANDOUTS- ATIKU in Sokoto yesterday

That’s why they are angry about our poverty alleviation programme, the Social Investment Programmes that empower traders, small and medium entrepreneurs and the poor, to improve their earnings and have better standards of living.

Let’s go to the next level, with the man who cares. #NextLevelWithBuhari.

God bless Nigeria.
Lauretta Onochie.

However a Twitter user who reacted to the tweet wrote;

This picture was used on this blog in February 2017, it is the same picture you’re circulating to misinform the public. An aide to the President spreading falsehood just to prove a point.

This is not the first time Lauretta Onochie has been busted in such act. Few months ago, the social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari tweeted a photo of an ongoing road project, with the caption: “Nasarawa – Jos Road BUHARI AGAIN!!! Sai Baba.”

A Twitter user noticed it and shared a photo of the stock image which costs $12 alongside Onochie’s tweet, and this led to series of controversy on the platform.
