Police Lay Siege To Melaye’s Home, Barricade Street

Combat ready policemen have laid siege to the Sangha Street, Maitama, Abuja residence of ‎Senator Dino Melaye.
Melaye had in a hushed tone notified ‎our correspondent of the siege on the telephone at 1:43 pm.
The security operatives blocked the street with a Toyota Hiace bus with tinted glass and Plate Number RSH 193 TP on one end, and a pickup van at the other end.
They had prevented those in the building from exiting but later allowed family members, friends and guest to enter and exit the premises.
Men of the Nigerian Immigration Service had earlier in the day arrested and detained the senator at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on his way to Morocco.
He was said to have “escaped.”
