So Guys! We all know how Tiktok has been one of the latest strategy used by artists and Labels to push songs and make them trend. We’ve Seen how songs blew up and went viral during the lockdown phase of the pandemic because users used these songs to make videos. So today on the show we’ve decided to spotlight songs trending this week on Tiktok.
No. 4. Kabiyesi – Barry J: Barry Jhay’s real name is Oluwakayode Junior Balogun. His father is the renowned Fuji singer, Sikiru Ololade Ayinde Balogun, simply known as Ayinde Balogun. Barry attended nursery and primary school but didn’t get up to the university level cause he was not able to understand any other thing aside from music production and sound engineering. The song Kabiyesi was released in September and gained popularity on the video sharing app “Tiktok” ; it currently has over 69k videos made(as of the 5th of October, 2021) using the song and 4.8k views on Youtube.
No. 3. Alcohol (that’s why i sip) – Joeboy: Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, known professionally as Joeboy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Mr. Eazi of record label “emPawa Africa” discovered him in 2017. His genre of music is that of Afro pop and R&B. He was born on 21 May 1997 in Lagos State, Nigeria. Alcohol by Joeboy was produced by Tempoe and has 98k Videos on Tiktok. In just over a week and with no official video, it has garnered over 604k views on Youtube. The official lyrics video also has over 805k views has it was uploaded by Joeboy some days after the release of the song.
No. 2. Bloody Samaritan (Cover) – Loud (choir): Self acclamaid Nigeria’s No. 1 Urban contemporary Choir With little or no major info on them except videos on their youtube channel and their official Instagram page take our Number Two spot. They went viral after doing a cover of the song “Bloody Samaritan” by Ayra starr. The cover for the song has over 133.3k videos on Tiktok for the 5th Of October, 2021. Their official video of the cover has over 46k views on Youtube.

No. 1. Love Nwantiti – Ckay: Ckay’s real name Chukwuka Ekeani and he is a producer/artiste signed under Chocolate City Music. He is an indigene of Anambra State but was born in Kaduna. Ckay found his love for music at 7 through his father who was a choir coordinator at the church and started producing and writing music at age 13. Love Nwantiti has 2.6 million videos on tiktok with tiktokers from all over the wolrd using the sounf for their videos. The song serves as the fourth track from his second extended play Ckay The First, released in 2019 by Chocolate City through Warner Music Group distribution company ADA. A remixed version of the song titled “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)” and featuring Joeboy and Kuami Eugene became a commercial success in Nigeria.
