Fortuna Sittard say they suspended the Nigerian coach because of his behaviour.
As the acrimonious relationship between Sunday Oliseh and Dutch Eerste Divisie club Fortuna Sittard continues, the Nigerian coach has been alleged to have physically abused a backroom staff at the club.
Oliseh is facing legal actions from Fortuna Sittard after alleging that the club suspended him for refusing to participate in illegal activities.
Fortuna Sittard had insisted that they suspended the Nigerian coach because of his behaviour.
According to 1Limburg, Oliseh in March 2017 physically attacked Lemmens during an away match against FC Eindhoven.
Lemmens had suggested that Fortuna’s Marco Ospitalieri be substituted in the game after he complained of his Achilles Tendon.
The drama in Sittard has not ended yet.
“Several players had to sign something in my disadvantage.”

“Oliseh did not like it and then called: ‘shut the fuck up and sit down’,” Lemmens said according to 1Limburg.
“At first I thought he wanted to apologize, but he grabbed me tightly by my shoulder and turned to me again, I asked Oliseh kindly to let me go.”
The report further added that this aggressive behaviour was one of the reasons Oliseh was placed on non-active duties at the club.
Oliseh says he’s not going anywhere
Oliseh has however insisted that he did nothing wrong at the club and insists he still wants to stay at the club.
“Four weeks ago after we, the period we lost the game to Dordrecht, one of the players called me and told me he had to tell me something,” Oliseh told Fox Sports Netherlands.

“The player said ‘the club has asked me to sign a document against you’, I said why, he said ‘I don’t know, they asked me to sign a document against you and I refused.’
‘They are building up a case so they are asking people to sign so that they can have something against you and that was our first loss in two months.’
“Then it started affecting the team because it’s normal that if several players are asked to come and sign something against the coach it spoils the whole thing.
“So it was not surprising that we lost those games after the other. Off course we also did not play our best but we knew why but we couldn’t come public to talk about it because I have to respect my employers.”
The 43-year-old insists that he wants to continue coaching until his contract till 2019 or be compensated if Fortuna Sittard decide to sack him.
“And they are trying to ask us to leave without being compensation as if I’m a criminal and I’m wondering what we have done to deserve that when you look at the great work we have done, it’s unfortunate,” Oliseh further told Fox Sports Netherlands.
Legal procedure
Speaking on the case, Fortuna Sittard chairman Isitan Gün, says the decision to suspend Oliseh was done to preserve the values of the club.
“We have decided to take some actions, it was more important for us to preserve the values of this club,” Gun told Fox Sports Netherlands.
“We have no complaints whatsoever about the sporting performance of this team so far in the season but for us, it is more important to have a nice and smooth working environment.”
Gun also insisted that Oliseh has not been sacked and that the club will only follow the legal procedure to settle the issue.
