Born Lanre Dabiri in May 23, 1977 but popularly known by his stage name eLDee, He is his a retired Nigerian-American Rapper, Singer and Record Producer. He was a member of the band Trybesmen, which was started in 1998 with rappers KB and Freestyle and made a total of five solo albums during the period of his activeness in the music scene.

He was born in Kaduna state, a northern geopolitical zone of Nigeria and He is originally from Lagos Island in Lagos State of Nigeria.  He attended Command Children School kaduna and Essence International School before Moving to Lagos for his higher education. He has a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Lagos.

eLDee is credited as one of the pioneers of the afrobeats music genre. In 1998, he started a band called Trybesmen which went on to be one of the music groups that popularized the fusion of Hip-hop, highlife, pop and traditional afrobeat music. Trybesmen were a continental hit by the year 2000 and played a pivotal role in the shaping of the new music genre.

 

eLDee signed a total of 16 artists to his Trybe Records label, and named the collaboration of all said artists Da Trybe.

 

No. 3. Big Boy feat. Banky W, Olu Maintain, Oladele: Released as the forth track off the “Big Boy”album of 2008.

 

No. 2. Bosi Gbangban: The Hip Hop track was also off the “Big Boy” Album released in 2008.

Eldee is Currently an IT Consultant in USA. He and his long-term partner, Dolapo Latinwo-Bello married and together they have 2 daughters, Temi, and Toke. He has been based in Atlanta, USA since 2002.

No. 1. Wash Wash: Released off the “Undeniable” Album in 2012. The song was produced by Sarz and was a major street anthem and slang when it was released.
