Manchester United have not made contact with Zinedine Zidane, it has been revealed.
The former Real Madrid coach has let it be known he would welcome a move to United, with the Frenchman making Old Trafford his favoured destination for when he chooses to return to management.
The speculation has sparked talk of the Frenchman replacing underfire United manager Jose Mourinho.
However, ESPN says no contact has been made between United representatives and Zidane, who walked out of Real at the end of last season.
