Lady Narrates How She Was Duped

Lady shares experience on how she was defrauded of all her money on Facebook, after getting a text message on her phone taking about activation code.

Here is what she wrote:

Guys, I’ve been duped.
Got the above text message from some number last night. After calling, dude called himself Kennedy Okafor from the head office of Access Bank @accessbankplc said something about a new BVN security measure so I’ll need to confirm my account details. I did by answering his questions on My account number, type of Atm card, pin too for ‘confirmation’. I admit that I should have been suspicious when he asked for my pin, but heck, I thought it was bank protocol. So I gave him EVERYTHING.
Not too long after, minutes actually, I got the debit alert of #10,000 from about #12,000 and some change in the account. I called him back yelling and insulting him, calling him a fool, a thief and he hung up.
Right after, I got the debit alert of the remaining #2000 and then #500 and then #100 left.
Leaving me with #52 to my name.
I called again and he kept saying something about “Madam, calm down, you’ll get the credit alert”. Still fake promising me my money back after my information has been updated.
He might switch names or someone else might call claiming to be from the head office of your bank. Please be careful guys. Don’t fall prey to this fraudsters like I did.
I called the bank’s actual customer service after the Kennedy called me and it was confirmed by a Mr. Ezekiel that no one with such name works in their head office and that I’d just been defrauded. I had my account restricted and my ATM deactivated since they already had my pin.
I admit my folly but let this not happen to you as well after this.
I’ll be okay with my #52 but please beware of these guys.
Thank you.
