Radio DJ Edith Bowman sent the internet into meltdown when she hinted that Lady Gaga was set to perform a ‘secret set’ at Glastonbury with Bradley Cooper.

So the festival’s co-organizer left fans bereft when she insisted this wouldn’t be the case in a tweet on Monday.

Not allowing herself to be swept up in the drama, Gaga, 33, was seen out in New York that day, looking her typically chic self as she headed to the Apollo Theatre.

Lady Gaga: ‘Tonight will be different’ singing post-breakup
Gaga’s outing comes after Glastonbury Festival co-organizer Emily Eavis shot down rumors that the singer and Bradley Cooper were set to stage a Star Is Born reunion at this weekend’s festival.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, she tweeted: ‘Before this one gets out of control, the answer is no, that isn’t happening, adding that fans of the pair would be able to watch A Star Is Born at the festival’s cinema tent on Friday.

The rumor mill went into meltdown over the weekend regarding the performance after Edith Bowman claimed on Sunday Brunch that she knew one of this year’s secret acts after Bradley appeared on her podcast.

‘On my podcast I had Bradley Cooper talking about A Star is Born, and when I spoke to him I was like ‘I just want to see you guys do a gig, you know play it live’.

‘He was like “well we have been talking to Nick (Dewey) and Emily Eavis about it, we’d do the Park Stage” and I said ‘that would be amazing!’ Bradley Cooper and Gaga doing the Park Stage.’

Chemistry: The secret set rumors came after Bradley and Irina Shayk called it quits, four months after the world noted Bradley’s explosive chemistry with Gaga at the Oscars

The festival, which takes place at Worthy Farm between June 26 and 30, will see headline sets from Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure.

Janet Jackson, Kylie, Miley Cyrus and Liam Gallagher also take top spots at this year’s festival, which is the first to take place since 2017 due to a fallow year.

There are two slots still open on the Park Stage according to Glastonbury’s official festival guide – 11.30am to 12.10pm and 6.15pm to 7.15pm on Saturday.
