K-Drama star joins Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

K-drama superstar and lead in Itaewon Class, Park Seo-joon, is reportedly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). According to Star News, he has been reportedly cast in The Marvels, sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel and a continuation of the upcoming Disney+ series Ms Marvel.

 

The Marvels is to be released on Nov 11, 2022.

 

The 32-year-old South Korean actor will work with Academy Award winner Brie Larson (who plays Captain Marvel), Teyonah Paris, and newcomer Iman Vellani. Though Marvel Studios and Seo-joon’s agency, Awesome ENT, have both not confirmed the news, Seo-joon will reportedly leave for the US in the second half of the year to start work on The Marvels after wrapping up on South Korean disaster-thriller Concrete Utopia.
