James Rodriguez has offers from England, but wants to stay at Bayern Munich despite the transfer interest. That is according to the Colombian’s father Juan Carlos Restrepo amid rumours Rodriguez could swap Munich for London. Arsenal are reportedly chasing the playmaker and want to sign Rodriguez on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

Rodriguez has seen his playing time at Bayern decrease since the summer, but the player’s father insists there are no plans to move in January. ‘He is comfortable in Munich,’ said Restrepo. ‘I don’t have news about it, but there may be offers based on those rumours coming from England.

‘He is calm and he feels that he’s at a good level again and that he’s physically strong. ‘That gives us a perspective that he is happy, motivated and working well, as he is eager to achieve new success.’ Arsenal are pursuing several signings this month, but are being frustrated by their lack of transfer funds.

Barcelona are wary of loaning Denis Suarez to Arsenal for the rest of the season, despite an option to make the deal permanent in the summer. Arsenal do not want to make an obligation to buy, and Barcelona now want Suarez to sign a new deal before sanctioning a switch. Unai Emery asked for Suarez having worked with him at Sevilla, and insists Arsenal are working on several loan signings. The transfer window shuts next Thursday and it is unclear if Arsenal will be able to add any additions to their squad before then.
