Ashton Dumar Norwill Simmonds who is professionally known as Daniel Caesar, born April 5,1995 in Toronto Canada, and raised in Oshawa. He is a Canadian R&B singer and songwriter, who grew up as a choir member in his father’s church. His father, Norwil Simmonds is a pastor and a songwriter. At age 17 Caeser was kicked out of his home after a fight with his father on the weekend of his graduation, after this he ventured fully into doing music gigs, connected with producers and collaborators.

“Streetcar”is  a song by the artist Daniel Caesar released from his second EP ‘Pilgrims Paradise’. It was released 12th of November 2015 as the fifth song on he album and the song is a cover on Kanye West’s song ‘Streetlight’. It was composed and produced by  Mattew Britten and Jordan Evans.The album received positive critical acclaim and immediate commercial success. The song streetcar garnered over 1M views on its official  music video on YouTube.

THREE: PEACHES BY JUSTIN BIEBER    

“Peaches” is a song by the American artist Justin Bieber which featured Giveon alongside Ceaser. It was released through Def Jams records on  March 19, 2021. It was nominated at the People’s Choice Award as the collaboration song in 2021,it was also nominated at the Grammys as the Best R&B song, then it won the MTV  video Music Awards as the Best Pop Song in 2021. In 2022 it served as his first number 1 song on the US billboard Hot 100 then it peaked within the top 10 of Record Chats in the United Kingdom and 20 other Countries. The song has garnered over 642M views on its official music l video on YouTube.

“Do You Like Me?” Is a song by the Canadian artist Ceaser. The song was released on January 27 2023, through Republic Records as the lead single from his third studio album ‘Never Enough’ and it was written and Produced by Ceaser himself, Raphael Saadiq and Dylan Wiggins. It has peaked at the number 10 on the New Zealand Hot Singles chart, It also peaked at the number 83 at the Canadian Hot 100 and it has garnared over 1.9M views on its official video on YouTube.

CONTROVERSY

In March 2019, Ceaser received backlash for defending his friend Julianne Goddard via an Instagram live stream. Goddard had being criticized for her insensitive comments on race, particularly on black women. Daniel Caesar later apologized for his comments.

“Best Part” is a song by the Canadian artist Ceaser featuring the American Artist  H.E.R. It was released in August 25th 2017 as part of Ceaser’s album “Fruedian”. It was produced by Jordan Evans and Mattew Burnnet.
