The Script are an Irish rock band formed in 2001 in Dublin, by lead vocalist, keyboardist, and guitarist Danny O’Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power. The band moved to London after signing to Sony Label Group. Danny O’Donoghue and Mark Sheehan had been best friends since they were 12 growing up in Dublin. They were formerly part of a boy band called Mytown, formed in 1996.

Four: For the First Time
‘For the First Time’ is a song by Irish pop rock band the Script. Written by band members Danny O’Donoghue and Mark Sheehan, the song was released on 20 August 2010 as the lead single from the band second studio album Science & Faith. It debuted at number one on the Irish
Singles Chart, becoming the Script first number-one single. As of June 2011, the song was sold 1,000,000 times in the United States. The song which has garnered over 65M on its official music video on YouTube has been certified Platinum and Gold in countries like Australia, Italy, United
Kingdom and United States.

  • On 14 April 2023, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Mark Sheehan died at aged 46 in hospital after a brief illness.

It was released on 24 November 2008 as the third single from their first album, The Script (2008). The song peaked at number 10 in Ireland, number 21 in the United Kingdom, number 12 in the United States Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 in
Australia.

Two: Both Ways
Serving as the Bands latest single from their upcoming album called “Satellites” “Both Ways” garnered over 737k views on its official music video on YouTube. The single was released on 17 May 2024. Their seventh studio album, titled Satellites, is set to be released on 16 August 2024.
