The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has reacted to reports that its REC in Adamawa State received a gift of $1million and a house in Dubai from PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Reacting via their Twitter handle, INEC denied the report which they labeled as fake news. According to them, the REC did not received any gift from Atiku.

INEC tweeted:

“FAKE NEWS ALERT: The Adamawa INEC REC completely disassociates himself from the allegation that he had an offer of $1m and a house in Dubai as no offer whatsoever was ever made to him by any one.”
