Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, unveiled the list of his commissioner designates on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
The list contained the names of 25 nominees.
The nominees will be screened and vetted by the Lagos State House of Assembly before their formal appointments.
The nominees for commissioners in Lagos State are as follows:

Sanwo-Olu said: “Today, I sent a list of Commissioner and Special Adviser designates to the House of Assembly for ratification.
“These nominees were carefully picked based on their cognate experience in their respective professions.
“This team will serve Lagos in line with the agenda of this administration which is to deliver a city-state that will rank among the top most liveable cities in the world.
“We took our time to pick the best hands for the tough job Lagosians elected us to do. This cabinet will be unique because as usual, we take the lead in innovation, gender-balance and youth inclusion”.
Fixing a slum
Sanwo-Olu, 53, polled 739,445 votes to win the March 10, 2019 Lagos governorship election.
His closest challenger, Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the opposition PDP finished the race with 206,141 votes.
Sanwo-Olu has promised to fix the perennial traffic gridlock in Lagos, tackle flood challenges and combat the filth and potholes that have turned Nigeria’s commercial capital and most populous city into one huge slum.
His team would have their work cut out for them from day one.
