Google Celebrates Nigeria’s Birthday Today With New Doodle

Google Search is celebrating Nigeria and Nigerians today. The tech giants have changed its doodle to honor Nigeria, as she celebrates her 58th birthday today.

Nigeria’s Independence Day is celebrated on the first of October as an official national holiday in the country. It marks Nigeria’s proclamation of independence from British rule on the 1st October 1960.

In the past, Google has changed its doodle, to honor the legacy of iconic Nigerians such as Stephen Keshi, Chinua Achebe, Flora Nwapa and so on and celebrated moments in the country’s history like general elections with its doodles.
