Jonas David Kröper was born 25 August 1990, also known by his stage name Jonasu, is a German DJ, record producer and songwriter based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His single “Black Magic” charted in the top 40 in the UK and Ireland in July 2021.

 

Born in Mannheim, Germany, he attended the Johann Sebastian Bach Gymnasium before studying jazz drums at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

 

No. 4. Let it be ft NAUM: Composed by Jonas David Kröper/Jan Schröder and Produced by Jonas David Kröper. It was released in 2018 and has over 590k views on YouTube.

 

In 2020, Jonasu received two Buma Awards for co-writing the song “Post Malone” by Sam Feldt featuring Rani. He produced the 2020 single “Pon It” by New Zealand rapper JessB.  After being used in an episode of British dating game show Love Island in June 2021, his 2020 single “Black Magic” registered a 59% increase in daily Spotify streams and entered the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.

No. 2. My love for you: Released in 2021 and serves as his latest and most current single. It has over 21k views on YouTube.

 

Jonasu has in a short space of time seen himself climb to the forefront of the rising stars list in the Pop and Dance music world. His songs and songwriting contributions have seen him accumulate hundreds of millions of streams and gain international recognition amongst his peers and fans alike.

 

No. 1. Black magic: released as a single on 18 December 2020 by 3 Beat Records. It was written by Jonasu, Røry, and Dutch singer Rani who also provides vocals. Produced by Jonasu himself the song has garnered over 3.1 million views on YouTube and peaked at no 2 on the official dance chart top 40 songs.
