Cold sores, or fever blisters, are a common viral infection. They are tiny, fluid-filled blisters on and around the lips. These blisters are often grouped together in patches and after the blisters break, a scab forms that can last several days. According to a research from Cleveland cold sores are highly contagious. They can spread easily from person to person through saliva or direct contact with a person who has one. However the following are some causes of cold sore

Hormonal changes: Hormonal changes during menstruation or pregnancy.

Hotness : Extreme temperatures (hot or cold) can causes a chapped lip

Stress (physical or emotional): Physical stress or emotional stress can tell in different ways and the lips can be affected.

Fatigue: Fever and illness, such as cold or flu,damaged, dry or cracked lips are causes
