“#DeleteFacebook It’s lame,” Musk said in response to a tweet from Sacha Baron Cohen calling for increased regulation of Facebook.

Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Musk has said before that he doesn’t like Facebook because it unsettles him. In 2018, the Facebook pages for Tesla and SpaceX were deleted minutes after Musk said he hadn’t realised SpaceX was on the social-media platform.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Musk have disagreed about the future of artificial intelligence. While Zuckerberg has said AI could one day improve health and safety, Musk has said the potential capabilities of AI make it more dangerous than nuclear weapons and has called Zuckerberg’s understanding of AI “limited.”

Both executives and the companies they oversee have been at the center of a number of controversies in recent years. Zuckerberg and Facebook have been criticised for the way the company has handled user data, hate speech, and misinformation. Musk and Tesla have faced scrutiny over worker safety and the way the electric-car maker has promoted Autopilot, its advanced driver-assistance feature.
