Elderson Echiejile Welcomes First Child

The Super Eagles left-back shared his joy on social media as he welcomed the newest member of his family

Elderson Echiejile has become a father for the first time after his wife gave birth to a boy on Tuesday.

The Nigeria international who made his international debut in a friendly encounter against France in June 2009 expressed joy and gratitude following the safe delivery.

In December 2016, Echiejile had a traditional marriage ceremony with his spouse, Oghenevwemo Ziregb in Warri, Delta State before staging a white wedding in France on June 3, 2017.

The 30-year-old left-back is on loan at Cercle Brugge – from Monaco – and the temporary deal runs through till the end of the season. He has played only two matches so far in the Belgian First Division A.
