Chelsea Reportedly Want £100m To Allow Hazard Leave The Club

Chelsea will not allow Eden Hazard to leave on the cheap this summer and will demand over £100 million from Real Madrid. The Belgian is out of contract in 2020 and will have 12 months remaining on his existing deal this summer. Hazard revealed this week that he had made a decision on his future but refused to confirm whether he will sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge or pursue his dream move to the Bernabeu. Reports on Tuesday suggested Hazard had made his mind up on a move to Madrid and the Evening Standard claim Chelsea will demand a record-breaking fee for the Belgian.

Despite the fact that he will have just a year left on his contract, Chelsea reportedly want over £100m to allow Hazard to leave. That would be a record outgoing fee for a Chelsea player and the Blues hope it’ll be so prohibitive that Madrid will cool their interest in the winger.

for Dortmund Chelsea have not given up hope of convincing Hazard to stay and a £300,000-a-week deal remains on the table for the 28-year-old. However, Maurizio Sarri is realistic about keeping Hazard and confirmed last week that he’s free to leave the club if he decides to do so. ‘Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go. Of course, I hope the opposite,’ said Sarri.
