Baby Falls Off The back Of Mum And Dies On Busy Express In Lagos

A tragic incident has occurred on an expressway in Lekki area of Lagos state.

It was gathered that a baby being backed by her mother has passed away after she fell off on the busy expressway.

The sad story after it was shared on Twitter by a lady identified as Chekwa Chinwe. ‏Chinwe explained that the woman had gotten off at Elf bus stop and was trying to cross the busy express when the tragedy occurred.

It was gathered that the woman was carrying the baby on her back, tied with a wrapper to hold the baby in place, but unfortunately, as she was crossing the busy express the baby fell off and was hit by a moving car.

According to the Twitter user, the overhead bridge built for easy crossing was just three minutes away and the woman still crossed the busy express.

 

The Lagos state government has warned Nigerians on several occasions to continue to use overhead bridges built on expressways across the state. This is to prevent incidents such as this.
