Arsenal find replacement for Petr Cech

Juventus goalkeeper Emil Audero has been identified by Arsenal as a long-term replacement for its shot stopper Petr Cech.

Cech announced last week on his Twitter page that he will be retiring from football at the end of the season.

The 36-year old will be leaving Bernd Leno as the only first-team goalkeeper at Arsenal when the season ends.

Metro UK reports that the signing of Audero will provide competition for Leno at Emirates.

Audero is currently on loan at Sampdoria from Juventus and will hopefully join the London side next transfer window as he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
