Today we’re placing the spotlight on Artists with the most streamed songs on Spotify and as of April,2022 these songs have exceeded 1.3 billion streams on the app

 

Four: Rockstar – Post Malone feat. 21 Savage

Rockstar is a song by American rapper and singer Post Malone featuring 21 Savage which was released September 15,2017 and as of now is the fourth most streamed song on Spotify with a 2.4 Billion streams. It garnered 989M views on it’s official video on YouTube.

The song reached number one on the US Billboard Hit 100 becoming Post Malone and 21 Savage’s first number-one song. As of October 2017, the single has sold 165,458 copies in the United States. “Rockstar” topped the Hot 100 for eight weeks, the longest run at number one for a hip hop song in 2017. The song has won ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards and the ASCAP Pop Music Awards.

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995),[1] known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Known for his variegated vocal styles, Malone has gained acclaim for blending genres and subgenres of pop, R&B, Hip Hop and Trap.

Post Malone has won a total of 30 Awards including IHeart Radio Titanium Awards for “Rockstar”

 

Three: Dance Monkey – Tones and I

This is ranked third on Spotify most streamed songs having a total of 2.564 Billion streams with its official video garnering 1.8B views on YouTube. Dance Monkey which was released on the 10th of May 2019 reached number one in over 30 countries, including Australia. In November 2019 it broke the ARIA record for the most weeks at number one on their singles chart by any artist with 16 weeks. This song won the Independent Song of the Year.

Toni Watson, known professionally as Tones and I, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Conflicting reports state she was born in either 1993 or 2000 but neither has been proven correct and the artist herself has not disclosed her actual Date of Birth. Tones was the most awarded artist at the ARIA Music Awards of 2019, winning four of eight nominations.

 

Two: Blinding Lights – The Weekend

The  Weekend’s “Blinding Lights” is ranked in the second position having a total sum of 2.9Billion streams on Spotify with its official video garnering 586M views on its official video on YouTube. The song was released on the 29th of November, 2022 and was Written by The Weekend, Max Martin and Oscar Hotler with Canadian Belly and DaHeala receiving additional credits. The songs won several awards for International Hit of the Year for Danish Music Awards, Best International Video for LOS40 Music Awards, Best R&B and Video of the Year for MTV Video Music Awards Japan.

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (born February 16, 1990), known professionally as the Weeknd, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer Known for his sonic versatility and dark lyricism, his music explores escapism, romance and melancholia. He has received numerous awards including Four Grammy Awards, 20 Billboard Music Awards, six American music Awards, Two MTV Awards and lots more.

 

One: Shape of You – Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” is ranked in the top position as the highest streamed songs. The only song to have exceeded 3 Billion streams worth the exact number of 3,134 Billion streams. It has garnered 5.7B views on YouTube and this was off his album “Divide” which was released of the 6th of January,2017.

Edward Christopher Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire and raised in Framingham where he began to write songs at the age of eleven. Ed has won a total of 123 awards, some of which includes American Music Awards which he won Twice, Best Solo Performance at the Grammys “Shape of You” and “Thinking out Loud” amongst others.
