We got the American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Jon Bellion on the AOTW today guys! Such a skillful singer who blends genres and mixes R&B, hip-hop and indie rock influences. Sometimes I just wonder if this is why he once claimed that his music is difficult to categorize as mentioned in an interview when he disclosed he doesn’t know how to read music. Bellion’s music has lot many mentions of faith with emphasis on God. He has talked a lot about God on this album(s). MCM what do you think of an artist who blends various genres?

Jonathan David Bellion was born on December 26, 1990 (29), in Lake Grove, New York, US. He is of Italian descent and was raised with his sisters and a brother. Bellion liked to play basketball and as well as music but found it difficult to pursue both in his school days. Therefore, he opted for music over the basketball and began to write songs. After completing high school, he joined ‘Five Towns College’ in Dix Hills, New York, for a music program. But he did not complete the studies when he quit at 19 and opted for professional song writing which enabled him work with music industry people (such as Warner Bros’ songwriter and A&R executive Kara DioGuardi). This experience helped him write songs for different artists in rock and hip-hop genres.

In 2011, he released his 1st mixtape, ‘Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1,’ through his Facebook page. He had written, composed, and produced the music all by himself. In 2012, he signed with ‘Visionary Music Group,’ and released a cover version of Drake’s ‘The Motto,’ on their ‘YouTube’ channel.

In 2013, he released his 2nd mixtape, ‘Translation Through Speakers,’ and later in 2013 dropped his 3rd mixtape, ‘The Separation.’ He had his 4thmixtape, The Definition come through in September 2014 also by the ‘Visionary Music Group’.’

Bellion’s first studio album, ‘The Human Condition, which was released on 10th June, 2016.’ debuted at number 5 on the ‘US Billboard 200’ charts.

His second studio album, ‘Glory Sound Prep,’ released on November 9, 2018The album GSP was announced via Bellion’s Twitter on October 10, 2018.

According to review the song “Conversations with My Wife” isn’t as heavy as similar sounding tracks of his, which is fitting for the track’s overall message and tone.  It’s an EDM to whet your appetite

Jon Bellion is not married and has no wife. There are no details available about his any past relationships. Although, in his song, Immigrant, he mentioned about an affair he had in London with a Briton and when questioned about it, Jon Bellion said it’s a true story but they broke up and that I has a steady girlfriend now who’s great but I wouldn’t go into too many details. But report also has it that JB is dating Melanie Iglesias and on latter social media, she had mentioned about Jon being her boyfriend.
