Isis Naija Gaston (born January 1, 2000), professionally known as Ice Spice, is an American rapper. She was born in the Bronx, New York City, where she was raised in the Fordham Road neighborhood. She is the oldest of five siblings. Her father, a former underground rapper, is African-American, while her mother, who gave birth to Gaston at age 17, is Dominican. The two first met at a McDonald’s and divorced when Gaston was two years old

“Princess Diana” is a song by American rapper Ice Spice. It is the second track on her debut extended play, “Like..?”, with the remix released on the 14th of April, 2023, through 10K Projects and Capitol Records. The remix peaked at the number four on the Billboard Hot 100, earning Ice Spice her second top-ten hit on the chart. The song garnered over 68M views on its official music video on YouTube. The song also reach top ten in Netherlands and South Africa, top twenty in Sweden and France, top thirty in United Kingdom and Canada and top forty in New Zealand and Nigeria.

Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2″ was released on 3 February 2023 through Parlophone, Elektra Records, and 3EE. This track by Pink Pantheress featured Ice Spice garnered over 135M views on its official music video on YouTube. Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2″ debuted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in February 2023. The song also debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, where it peaked at number three about two weeks after its debut. Elsewhere, it topped the chart in New Zealand and peaked at number two in Canada.

Controversy: There was a time where Ice Spice faced Backlash following an interview in February on The Adam Friedland Show. At the time, the show’s host, Matty Healy brought up that Ice Spice had said she was a fan of the band. But the host went on to make jokes about the “Princess Diana” rapper, saying she sounds like an “Inuit Spice Girl” and a “chubby Chinese lady.”

Although she didn’t respond, Billboard reported that Healy, later somewhat apologized for his inappropriate comments made about rapper Ice Spice.
