Controversy

In 2014, Cynthia posted a candid photo where she was captured with Dammy Krane, and fans immediately thought they were dating. However, Cynthia has denied the rumour. In an interview, Cynthia confessed that she has a crush on Davido. She considers him to be a hardworking and persistent person, who independently reaches his goals, and she finds it attractive

Also in 2016, in an interview with Punch News when asked about her tussel with Davido, the dance hall singer revealed the real reason behind the drawn beef between them was because Davido called her names first. Davido called me names on Snapchat and I retaliated.

When you say something to me, I give it back to you if I do not like it. Unfortunately, people did not hear my own side of the story before they reached their conclusions. I do not really have any problem or beef with Davido. He called me names and I called him names too. He started the whole episode by calling me a Malu, which means cow. I do not tolerate things like that from anybody”. She also debunked the spreading rumour about her crush on Davido. “I do not know how people came up with the idea that I have a crush on Davido. I cannot remember ever saying that. I like his music artistry but I do not have a crush on him” she added.

As of 2017, News us confirmed the singer has parted ways with the Jude Okoye led North Side INC Label which she joined in 2013 and that that her supposed hiatus from the music scene is indeed a result of managerial hiccups.
