“You, Me, Tuscany” enters our charts this week with over $8m in box office sales in its first week of release. Here’s what you need to know:
Number One: Super Mario Galaxy Movie
New to number one on the Top Trending Movies’ list is the adventure movie called Super Mario Galaxy. The game based film, which is currently the highest grossing animated movie of the year was released on the 1st of April 2026. Super Mario Galaxy Movie was produced by Illumination and Nintendo and directed by Michael Jelenic and Aaron Hovath. Since the week of its release it has grossed over $372,487,000. The plot talks about a thrilling adventure that intertwines fate and friendship. Princess Rosalina is kidnapped by Bowser Jr., who aims to harness her celestial powers for a menacing cannon to honor his notorious father, Bowser. As chaos brews, Rosalina sends a brave Luma to the Mushroom Kingdom, sparking a quest for help from Princess Peach and Toad. Meanwhile, Mario, Luigi, and their spirited ally Yoshi embark on a daring mission not only to rescue Rosalina but also to uncover the mysterious link between Peach and the stars. New to the list is the romantic comedy movie called, The Drama. The film, which also includes dark comedy, was released on 19th of March 2026 by Square Peg. Number Four: You, Me, Tuscany
Joining at number four on the top four trending movies is the romantic comedy movie called You, Me, Tuscany. The contemporary fiction film, directed by Kat Coiro and produced by Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions, was released on the 8th of April 2026. Since the week of its release it has grossed over $8,796,150. The plot follows Anna, who impulsively jets off to Tuscany, Italy, to stay at a stranger’s villa without permission. Caught inside the house by the man’s mother, she convinces the woman that she’s his fiancée. That little lie soon becomes a big problem when Anna develops a growing attraction to the stranger’s handsome cousin. Some of its casts include:
