Taahira Aqyila Duff, known by her stage name Aqyila, is a Canadian rhythm and blues singer from Toronto, Ontario. She was born on the 11th October 1998 (age 25 years). She began singing from the age of 5 & started writing at 10! She loves creating content that makes people feel good. Some of her influences include Whitney Houston, Sabrina Claudio & Mahalia. Aqyila has a total of 10 songs with the most popular being Hello, Bloom Vibe for me (Bob for me). The rising star’s EP also featured
singles “Pressure,” and “OH,” both songs showcasing her maturing vocals and songwriting skills.

Garnering over 13M streams on spotify and over 7M views on it’s official music audio on YouTube Hello by Aqyila was released on it 31st of March 2023. This track is considered one of her top hit songs and is also featured on her 2023 EP called For The Better. It was produced by Evan Miles and was written by Aqyila, Alessia Rita Lorio Evan Miles.
Two: Most Wanted
Serving as her most recent single, Most Wanted was released on the 26th of July 2024. It has garnered over 300K streams on spotify and over 118K views on its official video on YouTube. This Afro-Caribbean inspired track was produced by Dreadhawk Productions and Precision productions but was written by Kasey Philips, Thomas-Ray Anthony Armstrong & Aqyila.

Having successful garnered over 23M streams on spotify and over 6.6M views on it’s official audio on YouTube, Bloom was released as a single on the 9th of February 2024. This track, alongside most of her tracks has been extremely sensational on the popular platform that is TikTok. It was written by Jonathan Elkær, Maya J’an B & Aqyila herself.
