Masturbation is known to be a predominant activity practiced by people in their personal sex life. While statistics reveal that over 95 percent of males and above 92 percent of females masturbate, different individuals get into this habit at different stages of their lives either by themselves or being initiated into it by their friends.

Though most health experts across the globe have these days subscribed to the view that masturbation is a healthy activity, when it becomes an addiction, masturbation can be quite harmful  both psychologically as well as biologically.  The underlying point is that too much of anything can be bad. That simply means it’s worth discussing some side effects of masturbation. These are very prominent side effects of masturbation can be discussed as follows.

A. LOSE OF REGULAR ROUTINES:
Too much of it can cause fatigue both in the physical and psychological sense. Being preoccupied with it, people might tend to lose interest in the regular routines of life. Often, when they discover that they have become addicts to it; they might even lose their self-esteem and be overtaken by a feeling of guilt.

B. BACK PAIN:
In several cases, people who masturbate too much have reported lower back pain. Also, they may even get cramps or pains in the pelvic area or in the tail bone region. Groin pain and pain in the testicles is also not uncommon among the ones who get into this habit too much. Often, masturbation is said to lead to thinning of hair and hair loss though this is not proved at large through experimental studies.

C. URINE INFECTION:
In some cases of over masturbation, people have reported urinary incontinence or the inability to control the release of urine. The other effects could also be physical exhaustion; impotence; low sperm count in males; vaginal discharge, dryness and infections in females; and sperm leakage in males.

D. EFFECTS ON SEXUAL LIFE
A good number of people who have developed this habit have reported difficulty in having normal sex with their partners. It is said that in several cases, achieving orgasm and even erection was rather not possible without masturbation, which had considerably affected their sexual life. Premature ejaculation and early ejaculation is also most common among those who masturbate too much.
