With The world’s population at 7.9billion people, it’s amazing to know that there are songs with way more views on youtube than the world’s population. Today we take a look at songs with the highest views on Youtube.

 

At No. 4. we have the song: “Johnny Johnny-Yes papa” – LooLoo Kids: The nursery rhyme is a song recreated by “LooLoo Kids” and was uploaded on the 8th of October 2016. It has garnered over 5.24 million views so far. Another video of the song, uploaded by ChuChu TV in 2014, has more than 1.7 billion views, another uploaded by CVS 3D Rhymes in 2017 has over 1.2 billion views, and a further video in Spanish uploaded by FAMA JAMA has over 1.0 billion views. Another video was listed in 2015 by The Daily Dot as one of eleven “unintentionally disturbing” YouTube videos for children.

 

 

No. 3. Shape of You – Ed sheeran: With 5.29 Billion Views on youtube, the song was uploaded on the 30th of January, 2017. The music video starring American dancer and model Jennie Pegouskie and retired professional sumo wrestler Yamamotoyama Ryūta (credited as “Yama”), was released on Sheeran’s channel. It was shot in Seattle, and was directed by Jason Koenig. On 8 May 2017, 97 days after its release, it became one of the fastest music videos to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, and as of October 2020, the music video has over 5 billion views on the site and is the site’s third most-watched video.

 

No. 2. Despacito – Luis fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee: The official music video on YouTube was released on Fonsi’s channel on January 12, 2017 and amassed one billion views in 97 days, becoming the second-fastest video on the site to reach the milestone. It also became the fastest video on YouTube to surpass two billion views, with 154 days. The clip became the first on YouTube to receive three, four, five, and six billion views on August 4, 2017; October 11, 2017; April 5, 2018; and February 24, 2019, respectively (dates are based on UTC). It has received over 7 billion views as of November 2, 2020 and was the most-viewed video on the site from August 4, 2017 until November 2, 2020, when Pinkfong’s video for “Baby Shark” surpassed it. It is also the site’s most-liked video, with over 40 million likes as of August 9, 2020.

 

 

No. 1. Baby Shark: Baby Shark” is a children’s song featuring a family of sharks. Popular as a campfire song, it has taken off since 2016, when Pinkfong, a South Korean education company, turned it into a video that spread virally through social media, online video, and radio. In November 2020, Pinkfong’s version became the most-viewed video on YouTube of all time, with over 8 billion views.
