Football legend, Pele has congratulated Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe for equaling his 60-year-old World Cup record in France’s 4-3 win over Argentina.
Despite experiencing a quiet World Cup campaign up until Saturday night, highly rated France winger, Kylian Mbappe, came to life in the 4-3 thriller against Argentina and was rightfully named “Man of the Match”.
In fact, it was Mbappe’s remarkable pace against Argentina’s high-line that set the tone for arguably the match of the tournament so far.
The 19-year-old ran fully 70 yards to win a penalty for Les Blues, which was duly dispatched by Antone Griezmann in the opening minutes of the game.
And as soon as Benjamin Pavard got France back into the game after an Argentina comeback, Mbappe came into his own and scored two brilliant goals.
A late header from Sergio Aguero wasn’t enough to deny France nor Mbappe the credit he deserved.

Given his young age, the inspired performance allowed him to make history and saw him become only the second teenager to score a brace in a World Cup tie.
Mbappe whose brace puts him amongst arguably the greatest player in history in the record books, remarked after the game: “I’m very happy, and it’s flattering to be compared to a great player like Pele but he’s in another category.
“Still, it’s great to join the list of players that have achieved such feats.”
