Black Pink is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. The group debuted in August 2016 with their single album “Square one” which featured “Whistle” and “Boombayah”.

This song garnered 777M views on it’s official video on YouTube. It was released through YG Entertainment on August 8, 2016, as the group’s debut single album titled “Square One”(2016). Whistle” claimed the number-one position on the Gaon Digital Chartfor two weeks, marking their first number-one single of their career. The song’s accompanying music video was an instant hit on Youtube achieving over ten million views within five days of its release and was awarded the Best Music Video of the year at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

This song has garnered over 1.1B views on it’s official video on YouTube. It was released on the 26th of June, 2020, through YG Entertainment and it set the record of the most viewed music video within the first 24 hours of its release. It peaked at number one at the Gaon Digital Chart for three weeks. The song was certified platinum in South Korea for streaming as well as gold in Canada and Japan and silver in the United Kingdom. It also won the MTV Video Music Awards for the Song of the Summer, Golden Disc Awards for Song of the Year and Best Digital Song.

On October 13, 2020, “Boombayah” became the first K-pop debut music video to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube. As of April 2019, the track had reached 12.7 million streams in the United Kingdom.

This was released on October 2, 2020. It garnered 261M views on its performance video on YouTube. “Pretty Savage” debuted in the top 100 of several countries, including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea. It debuted at number twenty-one on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.

This song garnered 1.5B views on it’s official video on YouTube which was released April 4, 2019. It was written by Teddy Park and Bekuh Boom and produced by them alongside R.Tee and 24. Upon release, the music video broke the record for the most views within 24 hours accumulating 56.7 million views and has, as of November 2021, it accumulated more than 1.4 billion views on the platform. It peaked at number two in South Korea and became the group’s first top-50 hit in the United States and the United Kingdom, thus also becoming the highest-charting female K-pop song on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time. It has been certified gold in Japan and silver in the United Kingdom. This song won the Peoples Choice Awards for the Music Video of 2019, IHeart Music Awards for Favorite Music Video Choreography.
