Video of footballer who collapsed and died on pitch go viral. The Marsonia striker, Bruno Boban and the highest goal scorer collapsed and instantly died on the pitch when his side was playing against Slavonija Pozega in the Croatian third tier football league over the weekend.
Marsonia vs Slavonija match was heading into 15 minutes when Pozega player smashed the ball into Drono Boban’s chest from close range. He contniued playing the ball up to the next 10 minutes before he suddenly fell to the ground unconscious.
Realising something was horribly wrong, players from both sides rushed to his aid as those on the touchline called an ambulance.
Emergency workers spent almost an hour trying to revive Boban, after he collapsed on the pitch. His team-mates and rivals struggled to fight back tears as medics pronounced the striker dead at the scene.
The cause of Boban death has not yet been announced.
