Barcelona chief Andre Cury is close to signing Atletico Mineiro fullback Emerson.
Despite stiff competition, Mundo Deportivo says Cury is close to agreement for the Brazil U20 international.
Emerson’s agent has revealed no less than 14 major European clubs have been in contact about signing the youngster.
Shakhtar, Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Borussia Dortmund, Lille, Liverpool, Watford, Porto, Valencia and Real Betis are all keen.
However, Barca are regarded as favourites thanks to Cury’s expertise.
