So much exciting stuff on the show this month! Before I introduce our #AOTW on the show today, there is something #TBS wants you guys to do for your own listening pleasure. We go straight to introducing our #AOTW. We are not far away from home. Presently the flight is about to take off to Tanzania to have a feel of Harmonize’s music. The ‘Never give up’ singer who is now officially out of Diamond Platnummz’s record label- Wasafi Classics Baby to start his own record label – ‘KondeBoyMgahawa’. The Tanzanian songwriter and dancer Harmonize was born Rajab Abdul Kahalion 3rd October 1991 (25). He was raised in Mtwara Tanzania. He started his music career in the year 2011, His first recordings did not hit as expected. In 2015, he met Diamond Platnumz and boom! It all became twist of events. He signed under Wasafi Classic Babies [WCB] music label.
No 4 “Aiyola” (his song from 2015)
The first song recorded under WCB and the his first song to be commercial successful. Harmonize being Diamond’s protégée became one of the most sought after artistes in Tanzania and beyond. He’s well known for this hit song kwangwaru” which also features t Diamond Platnumz. His genres include Afro-pop and Bongo flavor. In 2016, he released that award winning hit “Bado” featuring Diamond as well as other songs.
In 2017, he dropped music like “Matatizo” “Happy Birthday”, “Sina”, “Nishachoka” among others. Late in the year 2019, declared that Konde Music World was his new official management after having quit from WCB. Kainama meaning bend over was Hermonize’s debut for 2019. It was released on 25th Feb 2019 and produced by Ghanaian Mix Master Garzy. It’s such a jam!
It was in the same 2019 he released the song Never give up’. One of the reasons behind that song was to prove that he never quit despite all the criticisms back then that “he was not talented, and couldn’t sing”. He says now he is blessed and encouraged other people to not give while thanking those that stuck with him through his musical journey.

Most if not all Harmonize’s songs between 2019-2020 feature African artists. In Nigeria, he has collaborated and even features the likes Skales, Phynofino etc, from Uganda, he has collaborated with Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo etc

That was ‘Uno’ – the first song released under his Konde Music Worldwide label on 24th October 2019. Produced by Hunter and Bonga. The song has over 6 million views in 2020 alraedy. We’ve been talking Harmonize’s music all the way from Tanzania in East Africa. Harmonize aka Kundeboy is known for hit songs such as “Bado,” “Matatizo” and “Aiyola,” These are quite great as well with about 5 million views each on his YouTube page. He has featured artists from different parts of the world as well as earning accolades and awards from many quarters. He’s released about 3 three songs back to back this 2020. Two others are: Hainistui and Sasambu. Hainistui was his debut for the year. It was released on 3rd January. He dropped Sasambu featuring Jux (also an East African) released on 25th January

- He first made his name after he was discovered by Diamond some four in 2015. He released a string of hits including ‘Aiyola’ and ‘Bado’ featuring Diamond at the time as well
- He was included in MTV Base’s “Ones to Watch for 2017” in Africa
- In October 2019, he launched his Konde Music Worldwide. In an instagram post he wrote: “Woow.!!! Welcome 2 My House (KONDE MUSIC WORLDWIDE ) Official Harmonize Management Please Join The Family Follow @kondegang @kondegang @kondegang,”
- He also launched a free food restaurant called ‘KondeBoy Mgahawa’
CONTROVERSY
- According to insiders Harmonize had as “parts of his move from WCB to an independent management” was because he was already “fully booked until December”. Sources futher disclosed that: “He has tendered in a letter to terminate his contract with WCB…on his bio he took off the WCB icon “and instead opted to write Wasafi for life.” (reported allafrica.com).
- Rumour had it that Harmonize left Wasafi label after a personal tiff between the two. According to the rumour, Platnumz through his hit song Inama told the world about Harmonize’s lover who allegedly cheated on him with a bodyguard and Harmonize was lipid about this. d He wasn’t happy that Diamond air this private matters in public through music (www.msn.com)
- In the late September 2019, Harmonize came out publicly setting his pride aside and express his love for Diamond Platnumz after ditching WCB record label. He made a shout out saying: “Shout out to my big brother Diamond wherever you are. Love you bro, and I am here to make you proud,”. He also reiterated this while performing at a concert here in Nigeria last year. He said something in a video shared by Urbannews254 on Instagram. Do we say it seems like the two were still in good terms despite everything?
