The final season of Game Of Thrones is upon us, and HBO has dropped the first official teaser after months of unending snippets.
From this new teaser of Game Of Thrones, HBO also finally announced April 14 as the official release date of the final season which is exactly 91 days from today. While the new teaser is not exactly a clip from the new season, it predicts what to expect in the Stark household. The clip begins with Jon, Sansa and Arya walking through the crypts – the burial sites of their parents and ancestors. As Jon approaches Lyanna’s statue (his mother), the feather from season one falls from her hand which points at Jon finding out about his true heritage from Sam or Bran.
The teaser then cuts to Sansa, who also passes her mother, Catelyn’s statue as she blames herself for the horrors that befell the Stark family in season 3. Things quickly go left as the Nightwalkers slowly creep up on the three siblings as soon as they unite, showing us that they have important roles to play this season. Right before this happens, the three characters confront their own statues in the crypt – which could be foreshadowing their possible deaths by the end of the series.
We just have to wait until the new season premieres on April 13. Until then, watch the teaser right here:
