Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was furious with his players after their 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.
The hosts never looked like losing as they went at Chelsea from the off, sealing the win with first-half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
Afterwards, Sarri snapped: “Today I want to speak Italian, because I want to send a message to my players and I want my message to be very clear.
“I have to say that I am extremely angry, this defeat was due to our mentality. We played against a team far more determined than we are.
“I cannot accept this, we had the same problem at Tottenham. We spoke about this, I have spoken to the players about it and I thought we had solved this issue.
“It would appear these players are difficult to motivate.
“As a group they are not aggressive from a mental point of view. It is down to the type of players they are, it is hard to change but it could be changed by a new player coming in or one of the older heads in the changing room driving the group forward.
The best thing that can happen is that the players and I talk openly. We need to discuss the matters and talk about issues.”
