Real Madrid are readying a £100million offer for Marcus Rashford in the summer, according to reports. Rashford is in talks with Manchester United over a new long-term contract, but is yet to sign on the dotted line. With four goals in his last five Premier League appearances, Rashford has found a new lease of life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But that does not mean Rashford is keen to rush into penning a new deal, which has encouraged Real. The Sun claim Real will not give up on luring Rashford to Spain and are putting together a massive offer. Rashford was open to a switch abroad in the final months of Jose Mourinho’s reign at Old Trafford and his team had held talks with Real.
Though the 21-year-old is much happier playing under Solskjaer, it is unclear who will take permanent charge at United. Solskjaer could be handed the job, but Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is still the favourite to take over. United are ready to triple Rashford’s wages and offer him a £200,000-a-week deal to stay at Old Trafford, however, Real are willing to outbid the Red Devils.
Rashford could earn £250,000 a week in Spain, but it is believed the youngster’s current wish is to remain in Manchester. Despite the player’s wish, Real will not give up hope of signing Rashford as they look to add some serious firepower to their squad in the summer. Rashford’s current focus is on helping United push further up the league table as the Red Devils aim to pip Arsenal and Chelsea to the final Champions League spot.
